Decorating for Halloween

A small complaint:  Halloween isn’t supposed to be about friendly ghosts or superheroes.  When I was younger, it was a time to get the snot scared out of you.  Haunted houses were the norm, and every time you rang a doorbell you didn’t know if the devil himself was going to come out and greet you.

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT I’M NOT GOING TO PUT OUR REALLY SCARY ITEMS ON THIS PAGE, THERE MIGHT BE SOME LITTLE ONES LOOKING AND I DON’T WANT TO BE BLAMED FOR NIGHTMARES (AT LEAST TILL OCTOBER 31).

Now that’s not to say that you can’t have cute cuddly fun with the younger children out there, but at a minimum the outside of your house should look more like Nightmare on Elm Street instead of Barney’s slightly off, while still friendly, bad dream.
