To those who honor the right and honorable St. Patrick with repeated trips to the bar and brandishing four leaf clovers, the true holiday is the feast of St. Patrick, one of the patron saints of Ireland.
A brief definition of his most well known deed was in forcing all the snakes off the island of Ireland. But actually his real fame comes from using a shamrock (like that pictured here) to explain the concept of the Christian Holy Trinity.
