5 Romantic Ideas for Valentine’s Day
0It’s not always easy to come up with romantic ideas for Valentine’s Day. For guys and girls alike, doing something special often involves plowing through a sort of romantic idea writer’s block.
But never fear, I’m going to share with you a few ideas which can play a part in your Valentine’s Day romance.
Each of these romantic ideas is not an end to itself, necessarily, so consider these as jumping off points for bigger ideas or use them to help get your own romantic ideas flowing.
.
Flower Petal Path
Flowers are an old stand by when it comes to Valentine’s Day. The only problem with them is that it’s likely something you’ve done before. But that doesn’t mean you can’t re-think the concept of giving flowers and make use of a seldom encountered television/movie cliche.
Plucking the petals from various flowers (try to choose symbolic ones with special meaning to your relationship) and sprinkling them about is a fun romantic idea which is sure to put a smile on any girl’s face.
The petals can be sprinkled about a room to add an extra level of ambiance or they can form a path for someone to follow to an even greater romantic surprise.
.
Sea of Candlelight

Candles are another romantic idea that never gets old. Most often, people think of them for romantic dinners, but try using a variety of pillar, votive, and tea light candles to light an entire room to create an enchanting effect.
The key to this romantic idea is to set the candles all about the room on various different surfaces. Varying the height of each candle will help create a completely romantic setting. Having candles all around in this manner will also let you get creative. You can consider making a design like a heart out of the candles if you have enough.
.
Special Songs
Every couple has a song or two that they consider their song, so make a playlist and play them! This is one of the easiest romantic ideas out there, but it still delivers some strong romantic results.
Unless you have a connector cable for your mp3 player, you may just want to burn all these songs onto a CD. A CD is just as portable, and will make it easy for you to let your romantic playlist play wherever you are.
Be sure to choose a lot of songs. Even if just a few have special meaning, most CD’s hold up to 70 minutes of music. So think of some other truly classic and romantic songs to add in so your playlist can accomodate the romantic moment you create.
.
Picture Montage

One of the most touching things you can do for anyone is to put together a retrospective of their life. When it comes to romantic ideas, all this means is just piling all the pictures you have of you and your special someone into a single folder on your computer. Then just hook that computer up to a large monitor. With modern flat screen televisions, you should also be able to connect your computer either wirelessly or via a wire. This way, your wonderful images can be easily viewed.
Open the file and select a single image. Then just tell the program you are using to display the images via a slideshow. And voila! You’ve got a romantic slide show of you and your valentine’s day sweetheart!
Combine these pictures with your special songs and you’ve got a wonderful valentine’s day moment.
.
Prepare a Special Meal
A romantic dinner is a must have with valentine’s day, but the way to make it even more special is to prepare the meal yourself.
Not only is this romantic because of the gesture of actually taking the time to prepare a special meal, but it also allows you to show off your knowledge of your special someone by preparing the foods they enjoy most.
To top off any special meal, a special dessert is in order. This will really take this romantic idea to the next level, because now you are not just cooking but you are baking as well! Neither is as easy as it sounds.
