For all our younger fans out there, or those with children, Spring Break is fast approaching.  And with that we here at The Party FAQ have a few suggestions on much needed items to help you make the most out of your fun:

First up are our Light Up Flip Flops, these things are awesome.  Wear them at night and every time you step you create a magical light show.  Or better yet if you’re an enterprising person buy a whole ton of them and sell them on the beach, and make a killing!

Next are our BRAND NEW Lighted glitter balls.  These things are HOT! shake the ball and you’ll see the glitter spin around.  Bounce the ball and you’ll get the glitter and BRIGHT LED’s illuminating not only the ball but off the glitter also.  This feeble description doesn’t do it justice, they are extremely neat and addicting.  So much so in fact that we’ll be creating a new youtube video on them.

Last but not least are our LED luminarias.  Create a lighted path to your beach home or hotel with these great items.  If you’re an arts and crafts family then you can decorate them as well!

So to give everyone an idea on how successful vending can be I’ve decided to include a post detailing what one of our customers was able to do in 1 hour.

At an Illinois Suburb of Chicago with about 5,000 people present one customer vended almost $700 worth of product.  He would have sold (vended) more but he ran out of the most popular item the LED 7 color stick.

Most of his success vending was due to high quality bright products and the fact that he only carried two different items.  The biggest problem a vendor can have is not being able to close the deal fast.  The longer it takes to please one customer the less selling you’ll be able to do.  By giving only one or two options you enable them to quickly select give you the money and leave.  You can also then upsell them if the two items are different enough.

Here his other item was the LED necklace, with a good number of people getting one of both.  What also

helped was a complimentary pricing system.  He sold them for $3 a piece or 2 for $5.  The $5 price point for two enabled families with multiple children to easily and affordably make everyone happy.  Also he allowed mix and matching, so if one child wanted both a LED stick and an LED necklace then that would still only cost them $5.

To see his profits take his $700 and subtract his total cost of approximately $1.25 per item (288 items).  So you get $700 - 360 for product = $340 in one hour!

Admittedly he wished he had several vendors and a lot more product, more planning for next year I guess. But still he made mroe in 1 hour then in several days worth of work at his job.

Some might think that serving trays are simple functional items that are a necessity to the service industry. Well you’re only partly right. To tell you the truth there is nothing simple about how you load up a serving tray. You have to balance it when you load it up, and when you take items off of it. Forgetting to think about weights can send a whole tray of high priced cocktails to the floor.

But I always thought to myself, why is it that the drinks can be dressed up while the trays arent? Well not any more. Introducing our line of LED and EL lite-up serving trays.

My personal favorite is the LED model, with the lights changing in a never ending array that is sure to memorize and impress your patrons. The lighted serving trays come with a 2 x AA battery pack with batteries installed, and easily changed for long term use. Also each tray has a no slip material added so that your drinks stay on the serving tray and not on the customers lap.

Please do not be confused by our EL lighted trays, these are not Neon bulbs. Those trays found in bars in the early nineties, were heavy and easily breakable and required large amounts of batteries. EL is a simple cord that lights up when the phosphorous is excited by electrons, they still run on AA batteries and can take a large amount of abuse.

Balloons are great for decorations, they look awesome and can continue any color theme nicely. But what happens when its an evening event or in a dark environment? Obviously you loose most, if not all, of the allure that balloons have.

But that doesn’t have to be the case. Our NEW patented Lumi-Loons allow you to enjoy the beauty that balloons have right into the night. Besides illuminating the balloon the device comes pre-attached to the balloon and creates a one way air tight valve where you can fill it up with helium without having to try and tie the neck of the balloon. Both look awesome and give completely different effects. You can even choose balloons that are printed so that when they light up the image POPS!

It is undeniable, finally, that summer is here. How do I know this you ask? Well for starters the birds are back but more importantly so are the summer festivals.

Vending time is upon us.  Summer fest, Independence days, Carnivals, Concerts and picnics are here and that means large concentrations of families out enjoying the evening together. This is a perfect situation to go out and start vending Glow LED Novelties or other items.

Now some are asking “what do you mean by vending“, what I mean is this is the perfect time to go raise tons of money for your club, sports team, Firefighters brigage, Fraternal order of the Police, or just even Yourself!

$50 of product can net you over $500 in an hour, and if you think I’m exaggerating then you’ve never done it. Why else do you think places like Disney World, or Six Flags hire tons of people to go out and sell inexpensive fun items?

The key to this, besides getting local government approval i.e. a vending license, is to make sure that what you’re selling is a good deal and that the kids are happy when the get the items. The best situation you can be in is for your customers, and their parents, to be happy to see you and get something that they’ll love. To this end LED items or Glow sticks are perfect, they entertain and occupy the kids while not annoying anyone else, stay away from noisemakers! Do this and you’ll have plenty of repeat business to keep your pockets full all summer.
